Dr. Giselle Chamberlain,
BSc, DC
from Victoria, BC, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology prior to her Doctor of Chiropractic. While in pursuit of her studies at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Giselle developed an interest in fitness, becoming a member of the UBC Rowing Team and taking up long-distance running and fitness training. This interest led to her eventual tenure as Facilities Manager at the UBC Student Recreation Centre.
As part of her search to learn about alternative ways of keeping the body and mind healthy, Dr. Giselle enrolled at the Life Chiropractic College West in California in 2003, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2006 and completed the British Columbia and Canadian Chiropractic Board requirements in that same year.
During her studies at Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Giselle was privileged to spend some time in San Salvador with fellow students and chiropractic mentors. During this trip she discovered the personal and professional gratification associated with assisting children and families, and witnessed the amazing changes that children can experience as a result of chiropractic care. Based in part on this experience, Dr. Giselle is currently undertaking further education in prenatal and pediatric care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
Dr. Giselle believes in a vitalistic approach to health and wellness, which recognizes the intelligence of the body to know what it needs to function at its peak. With proper spinal alignment, the nervous system can achieve its full potential in dealing with stress, enabling the body to grow and heal, resulting in improved performance and a sense of well-being.
